Vacation Activities at Sandcastles

Bicycle riding is a favorite activity as there are some great rides just out our door. In fact, if you have a trusty old mountain bike then cycling below the high tide mark can be a pleasure. The well known Confederation Trail and Homestead Trail are both nearby as well.

We are also a bird watcher's paradise. MacKay Pond, which borders our front lawn, abounds with Great Blue Herons and seabirds of all types.You can sit on our upper or lower deck and marvel at our resident eagles as they soar over the pond.

Golfing is phenomenal on Prince Edward Island; there are eight courses within 30 minutes of Sandcastles Beach House.

At dusk, ever changing sunsets explode onto the pond just outside the patio doors. As the evening progresses you enter a stargazers' wonderland. Moonlight walks & bonfires under the Milky Way are punctuated by shooting stars. You soon get used to hearing
"Did you see that one?!"
