Private landowners are concerned about risk management
and liability issues: therefore
continued use of their land by snowmobilers will require all users to have a valid
SANS permit. Registration, Permits, and Insurance are mandatory.
Department of Natural Resources off Highway Vehicle Enforcement Officers will be checking for permits, registrations, and insurance for designated Trails on Department of Natural Resources property. Fines will be issued for non-compliance.
Trail grooming, groomers, and trail signage are all funded in part from permit monies, the OHV fund DOES NOT fund any of these. The OHV fund has been used on trail upgrade such as, grading, ditching and bridges.
Club membership gives you permission to travel on private property or otherwise you are trespassing.
Remember your Crossburn membership allows you a voice in how your local trails are managed as well as discounts at Comfort Inns and Enterprise Car Rentals
